A Informational Meeting and practice will be held at RallySport Health & Fitness on Tuesday, December 13th, 2011, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Questions about the Winter and Simplot Games Programs will be answered and sign-ups will be taken. Please come prepared to run!
Ric Rojas will also offer a concurrent Winter Conditioning option for athletes who choose not to complete in the scheduled winter track meets. This option allows athletes to train for their 2012 outdoor track and field season.
As always, Ric Rojas offers the Simplot Games trip for high school athletes. The Simplot Games is the largest indoor high school track meet in the United States and will be held on February 16-18, 2012 in at Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID. Athletes of all abilities are invited to participate. This program requires additional travel expenses and registration fees.
Team Rojas athletes have won both individual and relay events against some of the best competition in the country at the Simplot Games. Fairview’s Alex Weinheimer won the Boys 800-meter race in 2009 and was followed Silver Creek’s Alex Paul with a victory in the same event in 2010.
