Welcome

Ric Rojas offers a comprehensive training program for adult endurance runners and sprinters. The foundation of the program is goal setting, training specificity, and coaching interactivity with the runner. Ric's training programs are proven to produce results for both distance runners and sprinters.

Coaching Philosophy

One of the hallmarks of his programs is his "under train-over perform" training philosophy. This simply means that you train no more than is necessary to achieve your goals. Ric makes every training step count.

Running (Bike?) Shorts Issue 15 - Nell Rojas Victorious in Rawhide Cycling Time Trial

We’ve slipped on our Running Shorts for the week of August 15th, because we’ve had a little racing!  No running – except for the Boulder Road Runners Track Meet – but we had a couple of athletes score high in a Bike Trial in Ft. Collins.

The Raw Hide Time Trial was held in Fort Collins on August 19th, as part of the Fort Collins Cycling Festival.  The course is described as “super fast”, and is 28 kilometers long, with 112 meters vertical.  Though I wasn’t there, the course sounds absolutely lovely – and was apparently very beneficial to our racers!  Nell Rojas won her age group with a time of 51:17, and Valerie Eipper took second in her age group with a time of 47:57.  Absolutely amazing!  The full results are available in a Google Document here.

The top 10% of each age group qualified for the final of the UCI World Cycling Tour World Championship (UWCTWC?), scheduled for September 9th – 11th in Stavelot, Belgium.  I don’t know if we’ll have anyone actually racing there, but to qualify is amazing already!  Way to go, Cyclists!

The Boulder Road Runners still have yet to publish their results from last Thursday’s final track meet.  We’ll have a comprehensive write-up of the last three meets as soon as those go up!  We’ll see you for that Running Shorts Back Issue soon.
