Welcome

Ric Rojas offers a comprehensive training program for adult endurance runners and sprinters. The foundation of the program is goal setting, training specificity, and coaching interactivity with the runner. Ric's training programs are proven to produce results for both distance runners and sprinters.

Coaching Philosophy

One of the hallmarks of his programs is his "under train-over perform" training philosophy. This simply means that you train no more than is necessary to achieve your goals. Ric makes every training step count.

Running Shorts 21: A Month's Worth of Races

Hello Runners! We’ve got a lot of catching up to do in our Running Shorts, so let’s just get started!

All the way back on October 22nd, some of our runners took part in the Shake Rattle and Run 5k in Westminster.  The race was a fundraiser for Saint Anthony’s hospital.  Charles Rasmussen, Jim Gilbert, and Britt Steiner all ran in the race. Because of construction, the 5k (about 3.1 miles) was extended to 3.25 miles, so keep that in mind when looking at times! Charlie took third overall, with a time of 17:21. Gilbert took 10th overall and 8th among men with a time of 19:06, and Britt Steiner took 8th among women in 24:16. There were 420 participants.  Those results are here, and the page for the event is here.

Also on October 22nd was the Colorado Middle School cross country championships.  The results from those are available here. All of our runners are listed as “unattached” – They include Branden Bohling (49, 14:33), Kyle Crawford (60, 14:43), Noah Munson (114, 16:20), Carys McAulay (16, 15:04), Kirsten Walters (43, 15:52), Mia Beltran (109, 18:59), and Kit Roch (128, 21:22).  Congratulations to all middle school runners!

On October 23rd, Bobby Fischer competed in the Club West Masters Track Meet at Moorpark College in California.  He took second in the M70 Division of the 400m Dash, with a time of 1:23.80. Full results can be found here.

On October 29th, Nikki Marshall and Britt Steiner took part in the Eerie Erie.  Nikki ran in the 5k race, taking 1st place in her division with a time of 20:58. Britt Steiner ran in the 10k, taking 8th in her division and setting a PR by 4 minutes with a time of 49:15. 5k results are available here, and 10k results are available here.

On November 6th, the Golden Gallop was held in Golden, Colorado. Jim and Kelly Gilbert participated; Jim took a PR on the course by 5 seconds, with a time of 19:42. He took 5th overall and 2nd in his division with this time. Kelly Gilbert took first in her division with a time of 23:12. The results are available here.

Congratulations to ALL of our runners!
